Welcome everybody in this video I’m going to include a lot of details regarding a 1971 Jeepster commando or jeep commando. This jeep was built from 1968 to 1971 from 72 on to 73. They did change the body style. This bill took me close to 10 years because it was very low on my priority, I basically did a frame off build on this wire wheel. The frame completely down, converted the front drum brakes to disc brakes. Rebuilt the brakes in the rear, wire, wheel the frame and painted the frame, the body I took off of the frame and had to cut a lot of metal and fabricate my own sheep metal patches And I will did everything in the engine was partially rebuilt heads or rebuilt piston, rings cam bearings rod bearings, all new gaskets I did convert the point system over to a GMHEI ignition system. I did a spring over axle on the front end on the rear installed new oil pump as well, I put some new rancho shocks in Rancho’s steering stabilizer on new spark plug wires. I did install a new carburetor. I tried to rebuild the old carburetor but it didn’t work very well. Put a new clutch and pressure plate in. I also installed leather bucket, power seats from a Buick from a junkyard for 30 bucks installed a CJ seven rear seat. I also cut a CJ seven roll bar and a half short and the width of it re-welded it and installed it into the jeep. I’ve got some 33 x 12.5 BF good rich tires on what a beast enjoy the build.
