This is the 12/26/1975 Nebraska at Arizona State game. The Fiesta Bowl. The Sun Devils had dominated the WAC under Frank Kush but national respect was hard to come by. This game, more than any other put ASU on the national map before their departure to the Pac 10. Arizona State probably had a legitimate claim to a national championship after Ohio State lost the Rose Bowl to UCLA. Oklahoma already had a loss. Although a national championship didn't happen praise was heaped on ASU after the game. Nebraska was one of a handful of schools that stayed at the top of the polls throughout the 70's. Beating them in the 70's was a tall task. The end of the game is game film with radio audio which I did author. i claim no rights.
