Well if you want iconic, this is it. Here we have a glorious 1980 Black Knight pinball machine in action for your viewing pleasure.
This machine was groundbreaking with its double-level playfield and magnasave feature. It has multiball, speech, great artwork, awesome sound and gameplay that keeps players coming back for more.
Lock the balls to start multiball. Complete drop target banks to light the magnasave feature at the outlanes to save your ball from draining. Complete the upper or lower drop banks three times to light the extra ball lanes. Hit the lit spinner after rolling down the right inlane for big points and the greatest sound in pinball. Hit the mystery ramp when lit after rolling down the left inlane for massive points. The bell is a cool feature that can really make the arcade look at the player when the game gets going. It's an easy game to understand and, some would say, it's just generally easy, but it's fun and checks all the boxes of what a classic pinball machine should be.
Black Knight was designed by the great Steve Ritchie with art by Tony Ramunni. Sound and software were by John Kotlarik and the amazing Larry DeMar.
