එල්ටීටීඊ අත් අඩංගුවේ පසුවූ යුධ හමුදා සෙබළුන් දෙදෙනෙකු නිදහස් කරන්නට 1986දී එල්ටීටීඊය ඒකපාර්ශවිකව තීරණය කළ අතර ඔවුන්ව භාරදීම සඳහා ත්රස්තයින් තෝරාගත්තේ විජය කුමාරතුංගයන්වයි. එම කටයුතු සම්පාදනය කර ගැනීම සඳහා විජය සිය සමීපතමයින් වූ ඔසී අබේගුණසේකර සහ ෆීලික්ස් පෙරේරා සමගින් යාපනයේ සංචාරය කළේ ආණ්ඩුවේද අනුග්රහය ඇතිවයි. මේ එම සංචාරයේ සියළු සිදුවීම් රැගත් වීඩියෝවයි.
LTTE had decided to unilaterally release two Sri Lanka Army soldiers who were under their detention in 1986. However, LTTE opted to hand over the prisoners to Vijaya Kumaratunga. As such, Vijaya made a visit to Jaffna to meet the LTTE leaders and make arrangements to receive the said soldiers, under the patronage of the Sri Lankan government too. This video covers all events that took place on that day in Jaffna.
