There is no one right way to maintain a starter, and you'll find they are very resilient. As long as there is no mold it should be easy to keep active and ready to bake bread with. Join me to learn how tto maintain a starter over a 2-week span. I show different methods for those who bake every day and for those who don't want to bake very often (I go in spurts myself). I did forget to mention that you should feed your starter with UNBLEACHED flour and filtered water (Chlorine and bleached flour can kill the microbes in your starter). New to Sourdough?
