Celebration video released December 1993 to note the 20th Anniversary of the Capital Centre, then known as the USAir Arena. The Capital Centre opened in Landover, Maryland in 1973 and closed in 1999. It was the home of the Washington Bullets in the NBA and Washington Capitals in the NHL, and hosted many other entertainment events and major artists.
This video was created for the 20th Anniversary of the opening, and includes a history of the location and of Mr. Abe Pollin, the founder who created the facility and was the owner of both sports franchises.
This has been digitized from a VHS cassette that was provided to employees at the time.
