In his third decade of rallying, Eamonn Boland finally clinched his first international win on the 2003 Cork 20 International Rally. Leading from the start, the Wexford driver outpaced Derek McGarrity and Austin McHale to lead by 21 seconds overnight. A day 2 counter attack from McGarrity saw Boland's advantage whittled down to 7 seconds going into the last test but Boland held firm to win by 15 seconds.
