👋 Today I do my annual maintenance on my 2007 Yamaha YZF R6 Sportbike! I have now owned the R6 for 5 years and it is so easy and cheap to keep in tip top shape and running strong! I show how to change the oil in the 2007 Yamaha R6 which should be identical to the 2006 to 2021 Yamaha R6. But first, since I have a brand new rear tire, I need to do a burnout and shred up the old tire. I have had the Michelin Pilot Power 3, 180/55ZR17 tires on my bike since the day I bought it. Put new tires on it day 1. The front lasted 4 years since I did not keep high enough psi. It had some uneven wear. Last year I had the front tire changed. The rear tire made it 5 years and about 15,000 miles. So I do a burnout to get some cords showing to finish off the old tire and then using my friends shop, he mounted the new tire on the back wheel with a normal car tire charging machine and we are good to roll! The R6 uses 2.75 quarts of 10w40 Synthetic oil, and Since I had 3/4 left from the last oil change, I used that with two new quarts. My R6 is ready for another season! I show how to remove the rear wheel from the R6 and then mount a new tire. Then I show how to do an oil change on the Yamaha R6. Cheap and easy to keep the Yamaha R6 in good shape! Yamaha R6 tire change only took about 10 minutes. Yamaha R6 oil change takes a bit longer but no more than 30 minutes. How to change motorcycle oil video should be helpful to other R6 owners. Best motorcycle oil? They are all the same, so just use full synthetic and you're good to go!
