Extraordinary, The word says it all for the 2011 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, though one could say that about every year of this world renound event. However, when one of this shows major features was honoring the Ferrari 250GTO than all bets were off. its especially so when only 36 GTO's were ever produced and mazingly 17 were present and all lined up along Pebbles 18th fairway. It was staggering scene in all repects which just underline this years overall theme which was the History of the Automobile. Mercedes Benz elaboratly celebrated its 175 years with the first and original Damiler automobile along with a hugh list of famous cars of representing there great history. Also it was 50 years of the Jaguar E-type, the abosolute beautyand elegance of the Rolls Royce Silver Ghost, unique custum Fords, the Stutz automobile for race and road, along with many other features making it an outstanding program. Many Personalities were part of it all with John Surtees being honored for his historic world championships achieved in GP Motorcycles and GP Automobiles, and likewise Stirling Moss was present as judge and also driving his 1955 Mercedes Benz 300SLR Mille Miglia winning car onto the stage while famed automobile officianado Alan d'Cadanet was spotted doing alot of media time also Jay Leno entertained with the Mid-Show antics and awards.
