Today, we replace the coolant reservoir in our 2012 BMW X3 (F25). The sensor at the base of the expansion tank began to leak, so we decided to replace it before it became a larger issue.
This is the 28i model with the 3 liter engine, however the same process should also be true for the 35i as well and similar models with the round expansion tank in this generation.
