Timothy is concerned about the Lord's work because he is one who has been called. He may be timid, young, inexperienced, inadequate in gifts, but Lord has called upon him (in another word: except for the Kingdom matters, nothing in this world can ever satisfy him), his life has infinite potential. God will equip and use him in many areas.
提摩太关心主的事，因为他是被主呼召的人。纵然他胆怯、经历浅薄、恩赐方面欠缺，但若他已经被主呼召了（就是：除了国度之事，再也无法被其他时尚的事物或成就满足），他的生命有无限的潜能。神会在多方面装备他，好使用他。
