The Bluecoats Alumni Corp put on a truly special performance at the 2022 DCI World Championships Semifinals. It will go down in DCI history as one of the all time great moments.
Enjoy as 350 former Bluecoats members peel paint and light the stadium on fire playing mainstay Bluecoats pieces such as The Boxer made famous in their 2008 show “The Knockout” in addition to Autumn Leaves first performed in the Bluecoats 1987 production and again the following year in 1988. Other retro Bluecoats tunes performed include Nutville from their 1991 show and Caravan from 1990 and 2005.
This is all interwoven with excerpts from the Bluecoats most famous and most memorable contemporary shows including 2015’s Kinetic Noise, 2016’s Gold Medal winning Down Side Up, 2019’s The Bluecoats, 2014’s Tilt, 2011’s Brave New World, and 2018’s Session 44.
They also threw Hey Jude in there for good measure, and maybe to jerk a tear of joy or two from those of us whose glory days performing in the marching arts with dear friends are over, but never forgotten.
