This New Year, I decided to try a LoG in the back yard.
The ground was covered in snow, and it was cold out, but I've wanted to try the KK5JY Loop on Ground antenna for a while now.
I already had some supplies at hand, and it only took about 30 minutes to construct.
I used a NooElec Balun 9:1 barebones (https://amzn.to/3dkjoUQ) as my transformer, although I would have preferred an enclosed version (https://amzn.to/35X1hjS).
My Software Defined Radio was the Airspy HF+ Discovery, and I also used the newly released SDR# v1834 that came out on New Year's Day 2022.
I used an RTL-SDR AM Reject filter to cut out the horrific MW interference in my area. You can get these from https://amzn.to/3qG0Owu

Overall it was a fun Amateur Radio antenna project, and the ground loop did in fact work as you can see in this short video!
