BMW gave the 1 Series a major overhaul upgrading it from the F40 to the F70 generation. It's essentially the same car with the exact wheelbase as before, but it has completely new fascias, a minimalist new interior that does away with most physical buttons and a revised engine range. It also has revised suspension, which includes frequency-selective dampers that are supposed to provide the benefit of adaptive dampers but without actually being adaptive. Does it all come together to make the 1 Series a better car?
