八坂神社の神幸祭の神輿渡御（みこしとぎょ）は、京都の夏の風物詩である祇園祭の前祭の「神幸祭」の一環として行われる祭事です。八坂神社の神輿3基が、氏子区域内をそれぞれ所定のコースに従って渡御し、午後8時から9時ごろまでに四条御旅所へ到着します。神輿は24日の還幸祭まで七夜御旅所で奉安され、舞妓や芸妓による「無言参り」が行われます。
Mikoshi Togyo at Yasaka Shrine's Shinko Festival is a festival held as part of the ``Shinko Festival,'' which is the pre-festival of the Gion Festival, a summer tradition in Kyoto. The three mikoshi from Yasaka Shrine will be carried through the shrine parishioners' area following a predetermined course, and will arrive at Shijo Otabisho between 8:00 and 9:00 p.m. The mikoshi will be enshrined at the Nanaya Otabisho until the Kanko Festival on the 24th, and a ``silent mairi'' will be performed by maiko and geisha.
