The 2024 Subaru Solterra is Subaru's first all-electric SUV, developed in partnership with Toyota, which is why it shares many components with the Toyota bZ4X. In this video, we dive deep into what makes the Solterra stand out in the growing EV market.
Under the hood, the Solterra packs a punch with 215 horsepower, powered by a 72.8 kWh battery that delivers a range of 359 kms 220 miles on a full charge. It also comes standard with Subaru's legendary Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, making it perfect for tackling all types of terrain. Add in Hill Descent Control and Grip Control, and the Solterra is fully equipped for both the road and the trail.
New for 2024, the Solterra gets an upgraded squared-off steering wheel, which feels great in hand, and a water-to-water heat exchanger that improves thermal management of the battery. This innovative feature allows for faster DC charging by keeping the battery at an optimal temperature for longer, reducing fast-charging times. Plus, it eliminates the old 2 DC fast charge per day limit, so you can recharge without worry on long trips!
To put the Solterra’s off-road chops to the test, we took it to a slippery, hilly off-road track, where we pushed the AWD system to its limits. Watch as we conquer the challenging terrain and see how Subaru’s electric adventure machine handles rough conditions with ease.
If you're looking for an EV that's built for the outdoors, the Subaru Solterra is one to watch! 🌍⚡
