Let me be frank. In the current climate, it's unlikely we'll see a 400 horsepower fire-breathing WRX STi anytime soon, but that doesn't mean Subaru has given up on performance. Instead of focusing on power, Subaru has spent their time honing the rest of the WRX. The new for 2025 tS model is "tuned by STi" which includes dramatically improved braking ability thanks to the only 6-piston Brembos in the segment and rear cross drilled / vented rotors. Subie also swapped in the adaptive suspension that's been available in the WRX for a while, but they tweaked it for improved feel and significantly less body roll and tip / dive. While you can get the CVT in other trims of the STi, the tS is 6-speed manual only. Sorry if I accidentally implied otherwise.
