Hi everyone,5
This the start and the first assignment of the 2025 collage challenge being hosted by Margarete Miller ( see below for details, if the #2025CWP challenge is new to you and/or if you’re interested in taking part).
The prompts set for this first assignment were as follows:
1. ‘A historical figure or event' ~ As New Year has literally just been and gone, I decided to embrace Scotland's historical event of Hogmanay , which dates back to the Vikings and especially the tradition of 'First Footing'
2. ‘ Decorative napkin’ ~ I didn't have a napkin to use, so instead I picked a piece of art paper to use as my background.
3. ‘ A magazine ad with bold text’ ~ I found an advert for Boric Acid which fit the bill.
4. ‘A clock or timepiece’ ~ A sticker of a clock face came in handy and I used a metal letter 'i' held in place with a brad to create a single hand on the clock face , obviously pointing at 12 midnight.
5. ‘Found in the ocean or sea’ ~ The small sachet of salt and an image of some algae species worked for this prompt.
Bonus ‘A ticket’ ~ A faux garden ticket.
I hope you enjoyed seeing this first assignment of the 2025 collage challenge come together and will join me again to see how I tackle the other assignments throughout the year. I'll post my weekly assignments each Monday and it would be lovely to have your company. If you can't join me each week then pop in from time to time when you can.
Until the next video hugs from me
