《破·地獄》中的人物，幾乎全部都是中年（40歲）人或以上，是港產片中難得地成熟和sophisticated的作品。與導演陳茂賢的前二作，《不日成婚》（2021）和《不日成婚2》的young urban世代格局（25+）截然不同，但主題上卻其實延續著《不2》要探討的東西，而且挖得更深，去得更遠，表現得也更複雜、更無畏，放在商業主流片和今日的港產片生態中，幾乎是一項奇蹟……
