I saw this on the internet and had to make a video about it.....but first I had to work out how to make one for myself. I hope this video helps you to make your very own in class or at home.
This is an instructional video that demonstrates how to make a 2D net that 'pops up' into a 3D shape. This is an excellent task to help those children who struggle to visualise a 2D net turning into a 3D shape.
One suggested activity for the classroom, is to challenge the children to make another possible net for a cube? There are 11 possible different nets for a cube. Another idea could be to challenge the higher achieving students to make a net for another 3D other than a cube.
