This video explains 3 of the most common ways to record electric guitar into Logic Pro. These three strategies will cover almost any combination of equipement, so you can get to making great music regardless of what you may or may not have. Method one is completely in Logic, using only the built in amp sims and pedals, a fully DI setup - all you need is your guitar and a cable. Method two is a combination of some external gear, like some pedals. The final method is recording completely OUTSIDE of the box, getting your external amp or guitar rig recorded inside Logic Pro.
This tutorial is more how recording guitars works in Logic and less of a definitive resource for general guitar recording.
