3-D Cookie Vase

Loosely inspired by my antique Roseville collection, these 3-D cookie vases make great keepsakes - or edibles, if you dare to eat them! While they may look intimidating, none of the techniques used is particularly difficult; the key to success is being patient and allowing adequate drying time between steps.

PROJECT DIMENSIONS (cookie quantity needed in parentheses):
Body (2): 4 3/4-inch round shaped over 10-ounce Pyrex dish (dish about 3 1/2-inch-base diameter; 4 1/2-inch-opening diameter)
Textured Pieces for Body Sides (2): 1 1/2-inch round, textured first with SugarVeil Brooches mat
Top Cup (1): 2 7/8-inch round shaped over 2 3/8-inch silicone hemisphere mold, with 1/4- to 1/2-inch hole cut in bottom
Top Ring (1): 2 7/8-inch outer diameter and 2 1/4-inch-inner diameter ring, textured first with SugarVeil Brooches mat
Base Bottom (1): 3- to 4-inch plaque, style of choice
Base Top (1): 2-inch round, textured first with SugarVeil Brooches mat
Handles (2): 2-inch-long arc, molded with Wilton Baroque mold
