Spent three days chasing dusky flathead in shallow water to kick off the season, and it didn’t disappoint! The fish were fired up, and I put a mix of lures to work, including OSP Bent Minnows, a Shimano Arma Joint Swim Bait, Daiwa Bait Junkie Jerk Shads, and Duo Tide Minnows. These lures excelled in the shallows, drawing big flathead out of their ambush zones.
