China is putting ChatGPT on the ropes with a wave of new free and unlimited artificial intelligence tools that are trending worldwide.
In this video I'm going to show you the three best Chinese alternatives to ChatGPT: Qwen AI, Deepseek, and Kimi AI.
Best of all, these tools are not only totally free, but they are also multimodal, meaning they can generate images, text, code, and even videos without paying a single dollar or euro.
We start with Qwen AI, the AI developed by Alibaba that has surprised us with its ability to generate images, texts and even videos with AI completely free of charge.
Although to be honest, its interface still needs improvement since I miss some functions that ChatGPT does have, such as memory, projects or GPTs.
That said, in the video I show you how I managed to create a video of a pink elephant completely free using Qwen's AI.
I also show you its "Artifacts" function, which is reminiscent of Claude's "Artifacts", allowing you to generate HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, Python code... with a preview. Without a doubt, one of the most complete options that currently exist.
Then we have Deepseek, the AI that has managed to eclipse ChatGPT in recent weeks. Although at the moment it focuses more on text, web searches and documents, its "deep thinking" model makes it one of the most powerful options.
However, in terms of the interface, it still has a long way to go to reach the fluidity and usability of ChatGPT.
But another interesting fact that you should know is that thanks to the Groq API, it is possible to use the Deepseek and Qwen models to create AI agents almost for free, which is a great advantage for programmers
Lastly, I show you Kimi AI, the Chinese AI that some consider Deepseek's great competitor.
According to technical reports, its performance surpasses certain OpenAI and Qwen models in some aspects, but its biggest disadvantage is that the entire interface is in Chinese, which can make it difficult to use for those who do not master the language.
Even so, it is the only one on the list that incorporates something similar to custom GPTs, which makes it a very interesting option to keep an eye on.
Is ChatGPT really in danger? Although these alternatives are impressive, the reality is that OpenAI continues to lead the market with a more polished interface, conversation memory, and advanced options such as custom GPTs.
However, the AI landscape is changing rapidly, and these Chinese tools could be the future.
