Editing landscape images does not have to be difficult! This was recently brought home to me during a seminar that I hosted along with Hougaard Malan of Landscapegear for a Nisi launch event. Some of the editing tips he suggested were the same or similar to how I approach fast edits of landscape images. So here are three 'tricks' for better landscape editing: - Gradient filters to balance the exposure, - Radial filters/masks instead of the vignette tool, and - Targeted color saturation instead of the saturation slider. Join a Natures Light Photographic Workshop. Some of the example images in this tutorial were shot on workshops in Morocco and Madagascar - https://www.natureslight.co.za/ Where I get my music: https://audiio.com/emilvonmaltitz (use the code emil70 on checkout to get 70% off your first year's PRO plan) Chapters: 00:00 Introduction 01:18 The usual issues with Landscape Images 01:47 Trick 1 - Using gradient masks to balance exposure 06:19 Trick 2 - Using a radial mask instead of the vignette slider 09:06 Trick 3 - Using targeted saturation instead of the saturation slider 10:56 Image edit with all three tricks applied 14:36 Second image edit with all tricks applied plus extra selections 19:38 Conclusion
