Today we are going to be performing a maintenance item on my John Deere 855 compact utility tractor. We are going to be fixing a leak from the suction hose area on the transaxle. While replacing the rubber bushing part number M800670 which is the lower rubber hose portion of the transaxle suction line, I will be replacing the oil strainer part number M800489. This strainer can become clogged and restrict fluid flow. When replacing the oil strainer you will want to replace the o-ring part number CH13520 which is for the adapter fitting part number M800488. The other o-ring you will need is part number CH14701 for the oil strainer. I filled the transaxle with HY-GARD low viscosity.
