ගම්පොලා නගර මට්ටමේ සිට අඩි 1,965 ක් පමණ දුරින් පිහිටා ඇති අම්බුළුවාවා කන්ද මුහුදු මට්ටමේ සිට මීටර් 3567ක් පමණ උසින් ඉදිකර ඇත. මෙය ඉහළට නැගීමට තරමක් අසීරු නමුත් එහි ඇති සුන්දරත්වයට නිසාම එය තරනය කල යුතුම මනරම් ස්ථානයකි.
මෙහි ඇති විශේෂත්වයක් වන්නේ මීදුමෙන් තොර පැහැදිලි අහසක් ඇති දිනයක සංචාරය කිරීම තුලින් උතුම් ශ්‍රී පාදස්ථානය, උතුරු දෙසින් කඳුකරයේ නකල්ස්, එසේම බටහිරින් බතලේගල , නැගෙනහිර දෙසින් පිදුරුත්ලගල කඳුවැටියත්, නමුනුකුල, සමනල කන්ද, සප්ත කන්‍යා, බහිරව කන්ද, උතුවම් කන්ද, කළුගල කන්ද, හන්තනා කඳු වැටිය, හුන්නාස්ගිරිය සහ නුවර එලියා දිස්ත්‍රික්කයේ කඳුකරයේ විශ්මයජනක දසුන දැකිය හැකි වීමයි.
අම්බුළුවාව කුළුණෙහි ඇති තවත් වැදගත්කමක් ලෙස මෙය ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ පළමු බහු ආගමික මධ්‍යස්ථානය වශයෙන් සදහන් කල හැක. ඒ අනුව මෙහිදී පන්සලක්, පල්ලියක්, කෝවිල් සහ මුස්ලිම් පල්ලියක් දැකීමට හැකි ය.
අම්බුළුවාව විහාරය මීටර් 48 ක උසකින් යුත් බෞද්ධ ‘ස්තූපයක්’ උද්දීපනය කිරීමක් බව දන්නා කරුණකි. මෙම බහු ආගමික මධ්‍යස්ථානය මුල සිටම ශ්‍රී ලාංකිකයන් අතර පරිපූර්ණ සමගිය සහ එකමුතුකම පෙන්නුම් කරයි.
අම්බුලුවාවා යනු අවට කඳු, වනාන්තර, ගංගා සහ නගරවල අංශක 360 ක දර්ශන ලබා දෙන සුවිශේෂී ස්ථානයකි. එය සදාහරිත වනාන්තර, මල් පිපුණු මල් පැල මෙන්ම විවිධ ඖෂධීය ශාක ඇතුළු ශාක පවුල් 80 කින් විවිධ ශාක වර්ග 200 ක් පමණ පිහිටා ඇති ප්‍රදේශයකි. එසේම කඳුකර මාර්ගයේ වෙනත් කොතැනකවත් සොයාගත නොහැකි කඳු භූ දර්ශන, කඳු බෑවුම් සහ අද්විතීය ශාක වලින් වට වූ සුවිශේෂී ස්ථානයක් ලෙස මෙම අම්බුළුවාව සැලකිය හැකිය.
