Driving along the Karakoram Highway (also known as the China-Pakistan Friendship Highway) on the Pamir Plateau at an altitude of 3000 to 4600 meters, which lies at the junction of China, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan. The Karakoram Highway is the world's highest paved road that crosses a border, reaching an altitude of 4,733 meters at the Khunjerab Pass (about 2 kilometers south of the starting point of this video), which is also the highest border port of entry in the world. The road was built in 1978 and was upgraded and expanded in 2015, allowing speeds of up to 80 km/h.
