The first video interview the creator of DOS has given.
Tim Paterson.
The firm he worked for back in the late 1970s, Seattle Computer Products, sold DOS, that he created, to Microsoft.
I thought he copied it from Gary Kildall, who created CPM, which was the top selling operating system of the day.
So I asked him about that and his answer provided me with much more insight about the beginnings of the personal computer age.
Here I have a discussion with him with Jim Harding, who was an early employee of Tim's.
At the end Jim shows me the first computer that Tim used to demonstrate DOS to Bill Gates for the first time.
Hope you love it too and reshare it with everyone. It is an incredible look back at the beginnings of our industry.
