總體而言，【第4次】可說是在超任主機上頭畫面表現與系統都最為強大完善的一款機器人大戰作品，而且這一次他的設計其精緻的程度即使到了後來帕布雷斯特轉移遊戲平台，也一再的不斷重製此作品或是推出加強版，甚至其後來發售在PS上頭的集結【第2次】、【第3次】與【機戰EX】的【超級機器人大戰Complete Box】，這三代的作戰系統與畫面全部都是已【第4次】的重製改編版【超級機器人大戰F】的風格與系統下重製作的。
