This is a classic strength training workout for pure muscle building! This strength workout only requires your dumbbells, so this is the perfect at-home workout to increase full-body strength! We will be working on both upper and lower body exercises.
We will work through 12 traditional strength exercises with a focus on heavy weights to maximize muscular growth. Each exercise will be repeated 3 times before moving on to the next exercise.
I love adding a more heavy-focused traditional style strength workout to our training plan to work on improving muscle mass and overall strength in all of our workouts!
40-MINUTE FULL BODY STRENGTH TRAINING WORKOUT STRUCTURE AND EXERCISES
EQUIPMENT NEEDED
- DUMBBELLS- I used a range from 10lbs to 30lbs / 4.5 to 13.6kg. The weight you select will be relative to you and how you feel about each exercise! When selecting a weight for this workout, you want to aim to lift heavy!
- EXERCISE MAT
OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT
- EXERCISE BENCH - All of the exercises can be done on the mat, I am just using my bench for a pregnancy modification!
STRUCTURE
- 12 TOTAL EXERCISES
- 3 TIMES THROUGH EACH
- WORK: 40 SECONDS REST: 25 SECONDS
