The Black Forest Trail is rated as the most difficult backpacking trail in Pennsylvania. With is rugged terrain and many stream crossings, this trail is one that gives you a feeling of total isolation. We set off on the trail with the goal of accessing some of these isolated streams in hopes of catching some native brook trout.
