2024年12月27日、上海の二大国際空港・虹橋空港と浦東空港を39分で結ぶ、上海市域鉄道・空港連絡線が開通。市域鉄道は地鉄線 (上海メトロ) より高速かつ広域をカバーする路線で、今後、浦東の東南端へ延伸される南滙支線や上海示範区線、嘉閔線、南楓線など高速鉄道網を補完する中距離的な位置付け。
12月30日、空港連絡線に虹橋空港第2ターミナル駅から、途中の三林南駅まで乗車しましたので、その様子をご紹介します。

On December 27, 2024, the Shanghai Suburban Railway ・ Airport Link Line wasl opened, connecting Shanghai's two major international airports, Hongqiao Airport and Pudong Airport, in 39 minutes. The Shanghai Suburban Railway is a high-speed line that covers a wider area than the SH Metro, and is positioned as a medium-distance complement to the high-speed rail network that will be extended to the southeast end of Pudong, including the Nanhui Branch Line, SH Shifang District Line, Jiamin Line, and Nanfeng Line.
On December 30, I took the Airport Link Line from Hongqiao Airport Terminal 2 Station to South Sanlin Station on the way to the airport.
Although it was nice to get off at South Sanlin Station on the way to the airport, there were no stores or anything around, and as I later learned, the transportation access was poor with only one bus service.
