Hello & Welcome to Harnetty Railways In this video we have our 1st visit of the year to our friends at The Keighley & Worth Valley Railway during their Green timetable operations. The loco operating during our visit was the flagship loco of the railway Black 5 45212. During our visit 45212 was helping to make history as for the 1st time in preservation for the railway 45212 was crewed by an all female crew the 1st time it has happened in the railway's history. The visit was also significant as this was our last chance to see her operating on her home railway before she resumes her mainline duties & before the end of the 2025 season her 10 year boiler ticket expires. We start at Keighley as we see her run round her train ready for the 1st steam hauled southbound departure of the day. A short time later we see her departure on the 1 in 55 climb out of the station as she heads south to Oxenhope. We next catch her south of Haworth housing estate as she accelerates away from Haworth this could 1 of our shots of the winter in sunshine with dark clouds in the background & a beautiful white exhaust. We end the video with what was our very last ride behind 45212 for now as we join her on the last round trip of the day from Oxenhope in the final day light hour. Following her completion of her mainline obligations at the end of the 2025 season 45212 will under go her mainline overhaul at Ian Riley's works at Bury. Thanks for the catch up during the day of @AinscoughProductions. It was a privelege to be apart of history as 1 of the passenger to have travelled behind 45212 while she was crewed by an all female crew. Long may that happily continue for future generations & incourging more women to the footplate of steam locomotives. Thanks for reading enjoy the film. #black545212 #keighleyandworthvalleyrailway
