In the final miles of Northern New Hampshire, also known as "Moose Alley" Route 3 is a winding, scenic, wooded drive surrounded by large lakes and thick forestry. Nearly anytime you visit you can expect to see various wildlife (except for on this drive of course) from moose to black bear and deer to coyote, This stretch is a natural wonderland for all living creatures thanks to limited human involvement and development. Just north of the 45th parallel (the halfway point between the equator and North Pole) this ride showcases the natural beauty of New Hampshire.
Enjoy this drive out of Pittsburg, New Hampshire and wonder by the Connecticut Lakes, the starting point of the Connecticut River which serves as the diving line for New Hampshire and Vermont and also boasts the title of longest river in New England, through the dense great north woods ending on the Quebec border just a few miles east of Montreal.
