The Inujima Islands are known as Inujima, Inunoshima, Okitsuzumijima, Jitakenokojima, and Okitakenokojima.
And Inujima is one of the islands that will be the setting for the Setouchi Triennale 2022.
“Benesse Art Site Naoshima," presided over by Benesse, refers to the three islands where contemporary art is exhibited, including Naoshima, Teshima, and this island of Inujima.

Inujima is home to the Inujima Seirensho Art Museum, where the works of artist Yukinori Yanagi are on permanent display.
Inujima Seirensho Art Museum was once a copper smelter, but architect Hiroshi Sanbuichi redesigned it and opened it as an art museum.
Furthermore, the Inujima Art House Project, similar to the Naoshima Art House Project, is being developed on Inujima.
The Art House Project is an activity in which artists turn the vacant houses of people who used to live on the island into works of art to be exhibited.
