This time, I walked around the Chuo shopping street in Esashi Town, Hokkaido, Japan.
"Chuo" means central.
On the seaside of Esashi Town, there is Rekimachi Shopping Street (https://youtu.be/8DB5481ssEc), and on the hillside, there is this old-fashioned Chuo shopping street.
Although the scale of the shopping street is not very large, there are old buildings lined up on both sides.
There is also a sweets shop famous for yokan.
It feels lively, probably because there is a lot of traffic.
This time I only shoot video of one street, but if you go to the left at the 1:25 intersection, there is a restaurant area.
During the Ubagami Daijingu Festival held in August, 13 floats will be paraded here, and it will be very crowded. I would like to see it once.
It's a really fun town to walk around, with the contrast between the new and beautiful Rekimachi shopping street and the good old Chuo shopping street.
