Sawa Yamamoto was born in Tokyo in 2006. She started playing classical guitar at the age of 4 and studied under Shoji Muraji, Keisuke Sakaba, and Yasuji Ohagi. She also studied solfeggio under Sawako Shimizu. She has attended master classes of various guitarists both domestically and internationally. She won the Best Performance Award at the 43rd Junior Guitar Competition, and the Grand Prix at the 5th Akasaka Junior Music Competition in Romania (for piano, stringed instruments, wind instruments, and guitar). She also won first place and the audience award at the 40th Spain Guitar Music Competition.
In addition, Media Calm Guitar Shop is currently distributing "Guitar MV (Music Video) Project" by various renowned guitarists on their YouTube channel.
