Here is our breakdown of a light stealth camping / boondocking setup for 5th Gen Toyota 4 Runner. This is the most budget friendly and fully functional setup we came up with (under 2500$ total including external upgrades)
It's the perfect way to travel the country without worrying about booking hotels (and save money) all you need is to find a safe camping spot for the night and you are good to go! We traveled like this up to 2 weeks at a time during our national park road trips.
