Solo bushcraft and camping trip in the rain. Cold weather in May this year. Trying out extended stays with gear but no food. I had salt and oil with me. And some coffee of course, I'm not crazy. It is possible indeed. But not longer than this for me. Having a great book is a very nice help since it rained for 2 days straight. Without it I doubt I would have stayed. I caught a few more big pikes but did not record it. I was getting very weak at the end and unmotivated to use the camera. Reed root was a surprise. Tasted great and I bet the oil helped. But I read they can also be boiled. A bit stringy but the taste was there. I also think they are best tasting now early summer when they are fresh shoots. So a fantastic carbohydrate resource around lakes. Thanks for Watching!
