Here's 5 different ways to start making a beat in FL Studio.
1. Start with a drum break from Splice (or somewhere else) and flip a sample around it. It’s so much easier to find a fire chop around a drum break, and you can switch the drum out for your own later too.
2. Start by laying down the drum bounce first (inspired by Metro Boomin, haha). Lay down a simple drum bounce and build the melodies around that. You can improve the drums later.
3. Start with a starter from Arcade. I recently discovered that Arcade has these samples, and they are perfect starters. More on it here: https://youtu.be/IM-06LHThTA?si=fu_eM6GUaxiw_UU2
4. Start with a bass loop from Splice. Create the melodies around that bassline.
5. Start with a vocal loop from Splice (or somewhere else). Build the melody and drums around it.
