My guest today is accomplished hybrid athlete and coach Alec Blenis. Want to run far and fast and be strong, muscular, and resilient? Then get pointed in the right direction by avoiding these 5 most common mistakes in hybrid training. Hybrid training - common mistakes 1. Too much too soon (discuss “brute force approach” vs intelligently addressing weak points) 2. Not being patient / not having a beginners mindset 3. Not being efficient (ie “junk volume” and redundancies; how to make the most of your time) 4. Letting optimal get in the way of practical (ie sometimes you just have to do the work) 5. Thinking you have to feel perfect all the time - you can be a bit sore or fatigued and still make great progress - you don’t have to be 100% for every session - how can you arrange your schedule to make sure you’re at 80% as often as possible (ie good enough vs perfect workouts) Follow Marcus https://www.instagram.com/marcusfilly/ SPONSOR LINKS LMNT - https://drinklmnt.com/marcusfilly TOP VIDEOS Then vs. Now: Physique After Retiring From CrossFit https://youtu.be/9D4sruUAKco 5 KB Foundations to Make the Most of Your Kettlebell https://youtu.be/mQDxf8fuMpk Knees Over Toes - Exercises to Build Muscle https://youtu.be/VnuarnAaQfQ Is it Steroids?
