5 Signs You're Not An INFJ

Video Not Working? Fix It Now

Plenty of people think they're an INFJ, but not all of these people have the corresponding cognitive functions. I wanted to take a more cognitive focus for this video so you won't find any 'INFJ's are judging types therefore they like to plan in advance' stuff here. Don't even get me started on the 'INFJs are empaths' thing either. The points in this video are a little more complicated than what you'd find in the average blogpost, but will hopefully offer a reliable checklist to determine if you are truly an INFJ. Thanks to Kiara Kerrick and Tristan Strecker for the subtitles! _________________________________________________ CPT is now on Patreon! Through Cognitive Personality Theory I examine the underlying mechanisms behind cognition, and the means through which a single type can have limitless individual variation - I believe type itself is just a set of cognitive predispositions that can according to the needs of the situation be overcome. I don't believe any type is limited in what they can achieve, but have noticed sensationalist attitudes and internet trends propagating a culture in which type-development is actively discouraged in favour of conforming to simplistic archetypes. Through CPT I hope to dispel various myths and oversimplifications of what constitutes personality type, and along the way encourage a healthier attitude towards type that allows a person to become not who they are told they are, but rather who they want to be. _________________________________________________ 00:00 - Introduction 02:10 - Introversion vs Extraversion 05:28 - Synergy 07:09 - Universalism 08:05 - Introverted Thinking 09:42 - Extraverted Feeling (Divergence) 14:05 - Emotional Prediction 18:45 - Summary _________________________________________________ KEY Ni/Introverted Intuition - Broad & plethoric perception of internal world.
