2 TYPES GULAB JAMUN
Preparation time 10 minutes
Cooking time 10-15 minutes
Baking time 7-8 minutes at 180°c
Serve 10-12
Ingredients
For Gulab Jamun
½ can Nestlé MILKMAID
¾ cup Milk powder
8 tbsp Refined flour
1 tsp Baking powder
A pinch of salt
2 tbsp Ghee
For Sugar Syrup
1 ½ cup Sugar
2 cups Water
1 no. green Cardamom pod, crushed (optional)
For Baked Gulab Jamun
Prepared Gulab Jamun
⅓ cup Nestlé MILKMAID
Other Ingredients
Ghee for greasing
Ghee/Oil for frying
For Garnish
Almonds, sliver
Silver wark
fresh Rose petals
fresh Mint sprig
Process
For Gulab Jamun
● In a bowl, add milk powder, refined flour, baking powder, ghee, Nestlé MILKMAID and knead it into a soft dough.
● Roll the dough and divide it into lemon size balls.
● Transfer it to a tray, cover it with a muslin cloth and keep it aside for further use.
● Heat oil in a kadai, drop the prepared balls and gently fry it until golden in color on medium flames.
● Transfer it to the prepared sugar syrup and allow it to rest for 10-15 minutes.
● Transfer it to a serving dish, garnish it with almond slivers, silver vark and fresh rose petals.
For Sugar Syrup
● In a saucepan, add water, sugar, cardamom pods and cook it until reduced to half or until it thickens.
● Transfer it to a bowl and keep it aside to cool at room temperature.
For Baked Gulab Jamun
● In a baking dish, add prepared gulab jamun, milkmaid and place it in the oven.
● Bake it for 7-8 minutes at 180°c until golden in color.
● Garnish it with silver var and rose petals.
● Serve hot.
