5 STAR DAL TADKA BY AMIT VASHIST
Ingredients Quantity
Dhuli (Washed) 50 gms
Masoor (Malka) Dal 50 gms
Arhar Dal 50 gms
Water 600 ml
Onion 1 no
Tomato 1 no
Ginger 1 inch
choppedGarlic 3-4 cloves
Green chilli 1 no
Ghee 5 Tb spoon
Fresh coriander 1 small bunch
Hing (Asafoetida) 2 gms
Cumin (Jeera) 3 gms
Turmeric 1+1 gms
Kashmiri Mirch(Degi) 2-3 gms
METHOD:
1.Mix all three dals and wash them 4-5 times and then soak for 30 mins in cold water.
2.Add water, turmeric, salt and ghee and cook for 2 whistles in a cooker.
3.In a pan heat ghee, add cumin and allow to crackle and add onions and cook till translucent.
4.Now add chopped ginger, garlic and chili and hing.
5.Add some water and add turmeric powder and Kashmiri chili9Degi Mirch) powder and cook little.
6.Now add the chopped tomatoes and sauté little.
7.Add the dal and mix, check for salt and add fresh chopped coriander and some ghee.
8.Serve hot with rice or roti.
