This was requested a *lot*. Many in my comments wanted to see this, so here you go, enjoy. Actually, that's not all ; I have two runs. This one, which I decided to highlight because it has more hype moments. Style over Substance.
I have another, which was my fastest time against Gore in these conditions, 5:24. You can watch it on this link, or in my Wilds playlist: https://youtu.be/d5WdTrrBsoo
This matchup is far better than I ever initially thought. Really, the only terrible thing about Gore in this game is its size, and the map you fight it on. But Hammer is still really good against it.
I can see why many wanted to see this, since I myself called Gore the hardest monster in this game (I bet many of you never noticed that Tempered Gore isn't even a 8 stars monster, only Tempered Arkveld is) and it seemed like a terrible MU. But after grinding this guy for hours, these runs are the best I can propose if you need to learn this monster and be able to kick its ass yourself.
In the end, I'm just happy Gore got many changes. Sunbreak Gore was more of the exact same, and was slower. Wilds Gore is about the same speed, but has a lot of new moves and patterns, I like it. I also actually love some of the new noises they gave it.
He does have a lot of moves that waste time though, especially when he flies. The amount of time I lost in this run is probably due alone to the second flight attempt it did at the 1:31 mark (it wasn't a fly too, it was just a jump back that got cancelled by that state change roar he does, it's really weird). It's possible that this was just a higher HP roll Gore too.
My opener in both runs was sabotaged by Gore walking back way too far. Normally, I try to sneak attack him near a wall so that he can't do that. He always either walks back, or tries to fly, and then both are cancelled by the state-change roar.
From there, the opener is normally: Level 3 charge, doge the roar, Golfswing combo, Mighty Charge Slam, doge the arm slam, Golfswing combo (with offset to tank the rage roar), Mighty Charge Uppercut.
Instead here I was forced to do an offset on the wing slam, which gives me the Mighty Charge Slam anyways. It's just that the other opener is quicker overall.
Gore isn't a monster that really requires a lot of dodging and even less Charged Step, you'll see I can simply dodge just once or strafe its moves thanks to Hammer's mobility to get into position ; so I definitely could have used a set that gives up on Stamina skills for a little bit more firepower like in the Ajarakan run.
However, using Counterstrike with Offsets against Gore is really tricky because a lot of its reposition walks and dodges can lead to it doing the ground blast breath attack which you cannot offset and will just damage you a lot. It's impossible to predict whether or not it will bite you or do that breathe attack, so it's not worth fishing for offsets against it. It's an issue comparable to Arkveld which loves to spam its grab attack every time you're trying to offset it.
Anyways, I hope people will be satisfied with this, I'm happy to take requests even if I was gonna do Gore anyways after the Arkveld video success :) Thank you!
