The Golf R has been APR Stage 3+ for the past 6 months now and these are my honest opinions of the Big Turbo Golf R Kit. I have had no problems with APR or my APR Stage 3+ kit for my Golf R. These are minor things to take notice of and I wish APR offered with the kit.
I have had APR Tunes on all of my Volkswagens from a APR Stage 2 Mk6 Gti to a APR stage 2 Mk7 Gti as well as a APR IS38 Tuned Mk7 Gti. The Golf R APR Stage 3+ has some downsides to it and in this video i cover what those are. I am not affiliated with APR and this video is not sponsored by competitors but it is my honest thoughts on this kit for the Golf R and hope that someone who is interested in the APR Stage 3+ kit for their Golf R, Golf Gti, Audi A3 or Audi S3 will take some of these points in consideration.
The Golf R is my favorite vehicle that I have ever owned and enjoy it very much. I am not hating on APR or the Stage 3+ kit for my Golf R. I believe that the package as a whole that APR offers for the GOLF R and its APR stage 3+ kit is very good in itself. Do I regret going APR Stage+ plus?
APR Stage 3+ Golf R has been to the track multiple times without an issue and has been a blast to own. In the future I hope to be able to custom tune the APR Stage 3+ Golf R to really get the full potential from the kit.
Being APR Stage 3+ on the Golf R is something that I do not regret but wish I fully understood the Kit and other options before diving in.
