In this video I show the following ways to test for fake american silver eagles: Visual Test, Ping Test, Magnet Test, Weight Test, Specific Gravity Test. Some of the tests that I show will also work for a silver fake silver chain, fake silver bars, and any fake silver bullion. If you have ever bought a fake silver eagle, then you know how important it is to test your purchases for fake silver eagle coins. There are a lot of fake silver eagles on ebay and I only recommend buying from big bullion dealers. If you do end up buying fake american silver eagles then these tests that I show you in this video will help you to find them and sort them out.
The best way to not buy fake American Silver Eagles is to only buy from trusted bullion dealers. If you do buy American Silver Eagle Coins from China then it is possible that you will receive fake silver. Fake silver can by either different alloys or copper with a fine silver plating. If you do the test that I show in this video you will be able to find the fake coins. The specific gravity test that I do on a silver eagle will work on any type of silver to determine that it is real including poured silver. It can be very hard to distinguish fake silver vs real silver but the specific gravity test is one of the best to learn so you can become a pro!
