5·18 40주년 특별전 《꽃 핀 쪽으로》 전시연계 프로그램 〈한강 작가와의 대화: ‘소년이 온다’를 읽고〉 (재)광주비엔날레(대표이사 박양우)가 베니스에서 개최하는 5·18민주화 운동 특별전 《꽃 핀 쪽으로》를 계기로 주 이탈리아한국문화원과 공동 기획하여 지난 3월 31일 성황리에 마무리된 온라인(ZOOM) 전시 연계프로그램 〈한강 작가와의 대화: ’소년이 온다’를 읽고〉의 행사 영상입니다. 본 프로그램은 5·18민주화운동의 의미를 전시 뿐 아니라 문학적 상상력과 연계하여 이해의 폭을 넓힐 수 있도록 기획했습니다. 진행은 로마 라 사피엔차(Sapienza University of Rome) 대학교의 쥬세피나 데 니콜라 교수(Giuseppina De Nicola)가 맡았습니다. 영상을 통해, 소설의 배경이 되는 민주화 운동과 ‘소년이 온다’ 뿐만 아니라 한강 작가님과 한국 문학에 대한 깊은 이해를 나누는 시간을 함께 하시기 바랍니다. Gwangju Biennale Foundation (President Park Yang-woo) released a web conference video 〈Conversation with Writer Han Kang: Reading ‘Human Acts’〉 co-organized with Korean Cultural Center in Italy by Zoom on March 31. It was initiated from the 5.18 democratization movement special exhibition ‘To Where the Flowers are Blooming’ in Venice, curated by the Gwangju Biennale Foundation. This program intended to broaden the understanding of the May 18 Democratization Movement not only in correlation to the exhibition but also through literary imagination. Giuseppina De Nicola, a professor of Sapienza University of Rome moderated this conversation. We hope this correlated program serves as a meaningful opportunity to share deep thoughts on the democratization movement depicted in the novel Human Acts, the writer, and Korean literature at large.
