In response to a common viewer question, this video explains how to easily use alcohol inks on dark, even black, surfaces. I show you, step by step, how to paint a bright, aster-like flower that practically pops off the black ceramic tile used for this piece.
All the inks I used in this video are from Ranger's Tim Holtz Alcohol Ink line, including a couple of this year's new colors.

-=- FOR THIS PIECE I USED :
the following Tim Holtz Alcohol Inks from Ranger:
Flamingo
Coral
Shell Pink
Butterscotch
Dandelion
Limeade
Botanical (green)
Oregano
Snow Cap
Alcohol Blending Solution : https://amzn.to/2uVoBii
91% Isopropyl Alcohol
To seal an alcohol ink piece I use a museum quality spray by Krylon: Kamar Varnish. Unlike most spray varnishes and acrylic sprays, it will not react with the alcohol inks. 🔹Here is a link: http://amzn.to/2jGh3KO

(Please note that vendors may change their prices without notice. Whenever possible I chose the vendors with the best prices but sometimes a price increases, so please pick the vendor with the price your prefer.)
-=- This was done on a 3" x 6" black ceramic tile (I get mine from Home Depot).
